About Richard Shannon Draper
An Educator with a History as a Fire Chief
As a fire service instructor with Bucks County Community College (BCCC), Richard Shannon Draper has traveled around the world to lead accredited classes in firefighting. He also proctors tests for certifications in various firefighting disciplines. While teaching with BCCC, Richard Shannon Draper pursues a master of public administration at Columbia Southern University.
A seasoned authority on firefighting and related professional areas, he possesses nearly three decades of experience as a firefighter. He served four years as the chief of fire and EMS with the city of Vermillion, South Dakota, and four years as the fire chief of the city of Red Wing, Minnesota. He holds active membership in the National Fire Protection Association and the International Association of Fire Chiefs. In addition to his numerous professional affiliations and certifications, he holds a bachelor of science in fire administration from Columbia Southern University.
Outside of the professional arena, Mr. Draper is an avid skier. He also enjoys camping and hunting with his family.Education
